Dagsboro man gets life for murder of Delmar pastorANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) _ A Dagsboro, Del., man has been sentenced to life in prison for fatally beating a 76-year-old Delmar pastor. Forty-one-year-old Antonio Herneisen pleaded guilty in May to first-degree murder in the slaying of the Rev. Van Crawford on March 30, 2007. At the sentencing Monday, prosecutor Davis Ruark said Crawford was struck with a wooden chair and was beaten 32 times with a spindle from the chair. Authorities say Herneisen did odd jobs for Crawford and had borrowed hundreds of dollars. Prosecutors theorized that Crawford might have denied him...
