Man killed in standoff with police in Hyattsville
HYATTSVILLE, Md. (AP) _ A man with a gun who barricaded himself in an apartment for hours has been killed by Prince George's County police.
Thirty-year-old Genete Brook was shot at about 5 a.m. Tuesday after an hours-long standoff in Hyattsville. He died at a nearby hospital.
Police say they responded to a report of gunshots at about 10:30 p.m. Monday night near The Mall at Prince George's. They say they found Brook firing a weapon into the air in the parking lot. He went into a nearby ground floor apartment and refused to come...
