FREDERICK (AP) - Frederick police said an 83-year-old physician has been arrested on sexual assault and drug charges.
Dr. Robert Crouch Sr. of Frederick was arrested Sunday and charged with fourth-degree sex offense, second-degree assault and possession of marijuana.
According to charging documents, police were called to a home on Evergreen Avenue about 6 p.m. Sunday. The documents said a 43-year-old woman, who is renting the home from Dr. Crouch, said the doctor had made sexual advances toward her.
The woman told police she had been sexually assaulted, but had not reported a previous incident because she was afraid of becoming homeless.
Dr. Crouch was stopped in his car on Seventh Street. According to charging documents, a search of his car turned up a bag with about five grams of marijuana.
