Trooper not charged in crash that killed twoST. MICHAELS, Md. (AP) — A Maryland State Police trooper who was involved in an accident that killed two people in St. Michaels is not facing charges. State police say the results of an internal investigation of the August accident were forwarded to Talbot County prosecutors, and no criminal or traffic charges were filed against the trooper. The accident on St. Michaels Road killed 88-year-old boatbuilder Maynard Lowery and his 87-year-old sister Alma.
