Derailment slows travel for DC Cherry Blossom fest
WASHINGTON (AP) — Metro says repairs to tracks where a Red Line train derailed Friday are not expected to be completed until early Monday. Until then trains between Friendship Heights and Medical Center will use one track instead of two.
Metro warned travelers during the busy opening weekend of the Cherry Blossom Festival to expect delays. No injuries were reported in the derailment at the Bethesda subway station.
