HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — The state prison agency said Friday it has fired one employee and disciplined seven others whose sloppy work led to the mistaken release of in inmate serving three life terms.
The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services said the workers included correctional officers, their uniformed supervisors and administrators of the Maryland Correctional Adjustment Center in Baltimore.
Three of the workers were suspended without pay, while three others received reprimands. One worker with nearly 30 years of service retired early in lieu of discipline. The agency would not provide more details about the...

How coud they just let this guy walk out. Thank god he was so stupid he went to his friends house. I would hate having this guy on the street, and yes, give the other guy 10 more years for his part too. I hope the police learned a valuble lesson here and this never happens again.
