2 dead in apparent murder-suicide
HAMPSTEAD, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police say a man shot his way into his ex-wife's house in Hampstead and killed her fiance and then himself.
It happened Tuesday about 11 a.m. State police spokesman Greg Shipley says 45-year-old Michael L. Swift III of Halethrope shattered a sliding glass door at his ex-wife's house with a gunshot.
Shipley says troopers found Swift and 51-year-old Zaidan "Steve" Asid dead in a first-floor family room of a home on Allview Drive. A 12-gauge shotgun was found near Swift.
