Civil rights talk
Pulitzer Prize-winning author Taylor Branch, a biographer of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., will speak at 7 p.m. tomorrow at the First Presbyterian Church of Annapolis, Duke of Gloucester and Conduit streets.
Mr. Branch has written three books on the civil rights era from 1954 to 1968, which chronicle the social revolution led by the Rev. King. His topic, "Nonviolence, Faith and Democracy," will tie in the civil rights movement with the humanitarian issues of today.
