The laundry list of accomplishments on Gary Jobson's resume is as familiar as it is amazing: twice College Sailor of the Year, America's Cup-winning tactician, Emmy Award-winner, Ted Turner confidant, author of 14 books, host of more than 400 sailing programs on ESPN, National Chairman of the Leukemia Cup Regatta series, father of three girls.
It's been a wonderful life, lived in public and lived large. The Annapolis resident has earned his unofficial title of "America's Sailing Ambassador." To some, it might seem as though he's been around forever, but he's just 54.
