Way has will for Governor's Cup success

David Way took his wife to church on Saturday afternoon in St. Mary's City. The Shady Side resident was late returning to St. Mary's College for the Governor's Cup Yacht Race awards party and missed receiving his trophy for winning the Multihull Division.

Way was lamenting the mistake with crew members when he heard his name being called again. He hurried up to the stage and was stunned to be presented the Bickell Award that goes to the skipper who showed the most improvement over the previous year's result.

'It was a huge surprise and a tremendous honor,' Way said.
