PUMA clinched second place overall in the Volvo Ocean Race by placing second on Leg 10 from Stockholm, Sweden to St. Petersburg, Russia. Telefonica Black won a tense battle with PUMA to earn its first leg victory, completing the 400-nautical mile trip across the Baltic Sea and down the Gulf of Finland. The Swedish syndicate, skippered by Spaniard Fernando Echevarri, finished less than a minute ahead of the American team.
