Bill Wagner - The CapitalEric Johnson, left, and Buck Downes sailed Dirigo to victory in the Bermuda 1-2 Race last month. The biennial race, with a single-handed leg from Newport, R.I., to St. George's, Bermuda, and a double-handed return, with a 635-mile rhumb line in each direction, started June 5 and drew 39 entries spread across six classes.
