Vazzano has a fondness for point-to-point racing and liked the way the sturdy 40-footer performed in strong winds and rough seas. "I was the delivery skipper for a lot of the races we did and I kind of developed an appreciation for the boat," he said. "It's a good ocean boat. It handles well out on the open seas."
