The paint is fresh, the floors have a thick, reflective coat of wax, the library books have never been checked out and just about everyone is the new kid.

Seven Oaks Elementary School in Odenton opened this morning for the first day of classes.
Yesterday, parents, students and school officials toured the newest school in the county since Piney Orchard Elementary opened in 2000. While it's the most modern school in the county's portfolio, demographers expect that it will soon be full as new families move to the area to work at Fort George G.
