Kent Island seniors are islanders but not isolated

Kent Island High School students who graduate Thursday say they'll miss a lot of what Kent Island has to offer, from the school building itself, to the community and the Buccaneers' rivalry with Queen Anne's High School.

"We're the best!" some students in the Class of 2008 yelled in unison.

Theirs is the 10th class to graduate from the school. "And it still looks new," said Calvin Fearrington, who played varsity track and basketball. He plans to attend Anne Arundel Community College in the fall and eventually will transfer to Delaware Valley College in Philadelphia to obtain a degree in...
