Jason Dykstra will leave Severna Park after just one year to become principal of Southern Middle School in Lothian. He will be replaced by Patrick Bathras, who currently is principal at Severn River Middle School in Arnold.
"It fits well with some of my goals and aspirations," Mr. Dykstra said. "It's really good for me and for my family, and it fits well with some things I want to do in the future."
