Officials brief parents on new Imagine schoolPublished 10/15/09
Even elementary-age students will study Arabic and Spanish at a new "contract" school planned for west county, parents learned this week. It was one of a few more tidbits that emerged during a community meeting Tuesday night in Maryland City to discuss the Imagine Global Village Academy. School officials also said students will be chosen by lottery, but if enough west county students don't apply, spots could open up for children from other locations. And although the county Board of Education still needs to approve a contract for the school, officials are confident there are no barriers to opening its doors...
