Summit symposium

The Summit School will host a symposium titled "Brain Development and Reading: The Link" from 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Oct. 24 at the school, 664 E. Central Ave. in Edgewater.

The speakers will be Kenneth Pugh and Laurie Cutting. The symposium is designed for parents, general and special education teachers (grades one through 12), speech-language pathologists (ASHA continuing education units available for $15) and psychologists. Registration fees range from $45 to $70.
