Students at St. Martin's Lutheran School celebrated Thanksgiving with a sit down dinner.
But perhaps the traditional fare could have used some modern additions.
"Maybe a blueberry muffin or a donut," said 10-year-old Connor Scott.
Said 5-year-old Jack Cratty: "Fish sticks, because I just like fish sticks."

A Wonderful School... - 2009-11-23 16:14:56
Contrary to R. Rogers "opinion", St. Martins is one of the finest examples of Christian education in this region. I can tell you firsthand that my children know of the importance and Godliness that are conjoined as part of their Thanksgiving curriculum at St. Martins.
Unless he / she has witnessed the staff's and children's devotion, and saw something that we didn't see during the school's multiple celebrations of this Holiday, then your opinion is uniquely unqualified and borders on a mad rant.

The holiday story has very litte to do with indians in comparison to that of the creator God and His provisions to the pilgrim's. And, their heartfelt gratitude in light of the previous winter when many died.

To whom? - 2009-11-23 13:21:43
I find it very weird and disheartening that NO where in this story is it expounded on whom thanks was given. I thought at least a Lutheran School would include just whom we give thanks to. After all, Thanksgiving is a VERY Christian holiday.
