Baysox: Bowie's Wilson quiets ThunderPublished 07/14/03
Jeff Wilson pitched six shutout innings and Josh Hoffpauir hit his first home run of the season, leading the Bowie Baysox to a 3-0 win over the Trenton Thunder in an Eastern League game yesterday. Wilson (3-4) allowed two hits and one walk, while striking out five in his first start for the Baysox since 2002. Trenton starter Matt Smith (2-2) pitched five innings for his shortest start this year, allowing three runs on eight hits and two walks, while striking out five.
