Baysox: Fahey emerges as a strength for BowiePublished 08/07/05
At a point in the season when a lot of players are fading from the heat and the cumulative effects of so many games, Bowie shortstop Brandon Fahey is coming on. And he's not coming out, either. Fahey, 24, was scuffling along with a .218 average on May 7. By June 7, he was up to .243, which became .251 on July 7 and .279 entering play yesterday. He had back-to-back three-hit games on July 15 and 16, and a 4-for-5 game with four RBIs on July 30. Clearly, he's not tailing off despite the summer heat.
