In the compilation of what seems like several thousand so-called "handicapping aids," or merely an abundance of statistics that horseplayers seem to demand, there are six new factors that will need to be remembered when Laurel Park reopens on Wednesday, Sept. 7. It's the day when Laurel's new. wide and gorgeous turf course will be put into action. Three, four or maybe even five races on the grass will be conducted each day. Now, single turf courses can't take much abuse with grass being dug into and cut up by sharp hooves....
