On Tuesday night, Virginia took it to the Terrapins from the opening tip, building a 20-point first-half lead while getting most of Maryland's roster in foul trouble. The Terps eventually settled down and cut the halftime deficit to just seven points. A subsequent Maryland surge whittled the Cavaliers' lead to 58-55 with 14:36 left. But Virginia regrouped with a 12-0 run, and the Terps never got closer than eight points after that in their 103-91 loss.
