Coach Pete Medd described Crystal Palace USA's game against the visiting Cincinnati Kings last night as the best performance for the Eagles so far this season. Both teams had scoring chances and possessions moved fast over the slick turf at Navy-Marine Corp Memorial Stadium. But in the 87th minute, a shot from Cincinnati midfielder Brett Jones was deflected off a Palace defender and trickled into the net to produce the 1-0 victory for the Kings in front of 278 fans yesterday.
