Maryland's decision to not play Navy last year in the Meineke Car Care Bowl may prevent a rematch between the two in-state football rivals in 2010.
Maryland athletic officials recently sent Navy a proposal to schedule a game during the 2010 season. However, Navy athletic director Chet Gladchuk said yesterday the academy felt snubbed by the Terrapins last year and is "rethinking" the relationship between the schools.
Meineke Car Care organizers were pushing for a Maryland-Navy matchup last December in Charlotte, N.C. Instead, the Terrapins opted to play Purdue in the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando, Fla.
