Drama usually plays role in Terps-Duke showdownPublished 02/13/08
Over the last decade, the Maryland-Duke game - any Maryland-Duke game - has promised all kinds of possibilities. One night, Duke might rally from 10 points down in the final minute to steal away a victory. Another time, the Terps might erase a double-digit deficit in the closing minutes to win a conference tournament final.

The leadership of James Gist has helped Maryland develop into one of the top teams in the ACC.
No one knows what drama lies in store during the course of tonight's Duke-Maryland encounter, if any. But the potential certainly is there. Coming in, the second-ranked Blue Devils (21-1, 9-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) and the unranked Terps (16-8, 6-3) are the league's two hottest teams.
