The bill passed both houses of the Assembly but was vetoed by the then governor, calling it "silly". The sponsor of that legislation, Del. William Bronrot of Montgomery County, submitted the bill again this session with co-sponsors. This time, he asked if I would consider testifying for the bill, HB 1311. I did testify last week before the Committee On Health and Government Operations, many of whose members seemed a bit surprised that a running columnist would endorse a walking...
