Defense leads Terps past DenverPublished 05/11/08
For all the attention that the University of Maryland's freshman attack unit has garnered, it was the play of a senior defenseman that helped the Terps get by a frisky Denver squad in yesterday's NCAA first round men's lacrosse game at Byrd Stadium. Senior defenseman Joe Cinosky played like a man possessed on the back line, causing four turnovers, scooping four ground balls and scoring a short-handed goal to help Maryland turn a 5-2 deficit into a 10-7 win.
