BALTIMORE - Yesterday's victory was an encouraging one for the Baltimore Orioles - and for starter Daniel Cabrera, too.
Thanks to Jay Payton's seventh-inning grand slam, the Orioles rallied from a 3-0 deficit for the second straight game to knock off the defending World Champion Boston Red Sox, 6-3. In the grand scheme of things, the victory at Oriole Park pushed the Orioles back to two games over .500 (21-19) at the quarter-pole of the major-league season and moved them within two games of first-place Tampa Bay in the American League East.
