FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - Syracuse University beat John's Hopkins at its own game yesterday afternoon, plain and simple. Fresh off a stunning defensive effort that left the Duke, the nation's highest-scoring team, essentially paralyzed, head coach Dave Pietramala's group stepped onto the field at Gillette Stadium poised to do the same in the final against Syracuse.
