BOWIE — Want to know why Bowie's Luis Montanez was picked for the Eastern League's All-Star Game? Just look at the league statistics. The 26-year-old former No. 1 draft pick of the Cubs is leading the league in homers (18), hits (106) and doubles (24), while ranking second in RBIs (60) and slugging (.555). He also ranks 10th in the league in batting (.316) entering play last night. "Montanez has been in the top 10 in every category all year," said Bowie manager Brad Komminsk.
