Knee might keep McGahee out of preseason openerPublished 08/04/08
WESTMINSTER (AP) - Baltimore Ravens running back Willis McGahee is a "possibility" to miss Thursday's preseason opener against the New England Patriots because of an ailing left knee, Ravens coach John Harbaugh said yesterday. "Right now, we need to get the fluid out of his knee and get that thing settled down a little bit," Harbaugh said. Rookie Ray Rice could get the start in his NFL debut because of the injury to McGahee. Tight end Todd Heap also missed practice with a right calf injury, which is not believed to be serious.
