Broadneck grad Llano hits stride for RichmondPublished 11/23/08
Matt Llano may not have been the top runner on his high school cross country team, but he has developed into one of the finest performers in Richmond University history in that discipline. Llano became the first Richmond cross country runner in three decades to qualify for the NCAA Division I National Championship meet, being held tomorrow at Indiana State University in Terra Haute. The Broadneck High graduate earned a berth at nationals by placing seventh at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship, held Nov. 15 at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, N.C.
