Rob Ambrose has a well-earned reputation for developing quarterbacks. While an assistant at Connecticut, he molded Dan Orlovsky from an unheralded recruit into an NFL Draft pick who now starts for the Detroit Lions.

Upon being hired as head coach of Towson University last month, one of Ambrose's most pressing concerns involved finding a quarterback for the future. That search led to perennial prep powerhouse DeMatha Catholic and Crofton resident Tom Chroniger.
