Prospects brighten for Terps' BarnesPublished 03/12/09
COLLEGE PARK - National Football League scouts didn't get to see much of Kevin Barnes last season. The former Old Mill standout played in just six full games for Maryland before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury. That early exit made some scouts skittish about Barnes' professional prospects. He'd spent only about a season and a half as a full-time starter at cornerback, which didn't give them much to go on.
