The organization signed an agreement to play in Annapolis through the 2011 season, but opened play in its new home with a 17-16 loss to the expansion Toronto Nationals last night in front of 3,715 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
The Bayhawks led throughout the first half and by three goals at halftime, but the Nationals scored 10 second-half goals to pull out the victory.
"We were just leaving guys un-marked underneath of us, and they made us pay for it," Bayhawks coach John Tucker said.
