South Maryland captures Little League district titlePublished 07/25/09
The South Maryland Little League 11-12-year-old All-Stars ran away with the Maryland District 4 tournament last week. The tournament included teams from Baltimore City, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Howard, Montgomery and Prince George's counties. South Maryland won in convincing fashion. The All-Stars went undefeated, outscoring their opponents by a combined run total of 63-2 and won all its games by the 10-run mercy rule.
