College Notebook: Spalding grad Cassilly a coach's dreamPublished 11/26/09
Matt Cassilly started and played very well at outside linebacker for the Washington & Lee football team last year. Head coach Frank Miriello asked the Archbishop Spalding product to bump down and play defensive end this season and Cassilly obliged with no questions asked. Cassilly simply put his hand in the dirt, learned the techniques needed to play the new position then put together another terrific campaign.
