Pasadena resident Charlie Gordon has signed a professional baseball contract with the Normal CornBelters of the Frontier League. Gordon, who starred at Chesapeake High and Shepherd University, was signed by CornBelters manager Hal Lanier following a tryout camp. Find Us On Facebook
"Charlie's arm strength impressed me. His speed was 92 mph with a good breaking ball and I look to fit him into the starting rotation," said Lanier, who was named National League Manager of the Year in 1986 with the Houston Astros.
