Mrs. Desimone, like the other students, stumbled during her original voyage through high school. She, like the others, faced adversity and decided not to quit, choosing instead to work her way through night classes four days a week to achieve her goal.
However, Mrs. Desimone did so while attending classes with students more than a decade her junior.
