Some drivers in city fuming over tighter parking restrictionsPublished 11/15/04
Ambushed by special parking privileges granted to residents of a downtown neighborhood, a well-known Annapolis lobbyist said he'll go to court tomorrow to get the restrictions declared illegal. Bruce C. Bereano, who got a $25 ticket Sept. 21 for parking on Charles Street, said the little-known restrictions are much tighter than allowed by city law and drivers weren't warned of the change. "What nerve these people have -- who do they think they are?" Mr. Bereano said, whose office is nearby. "This is government run amok."
