Hospital asks county for $1 million grant for expansionPublished 11/26/04
County officials are mulling a request by North Arundel Hospital for a $1 million grant that would help pay for a massive expansion at the Glen Burnie hospital. In a Nov. 5 letter to County Executive Janet S. Owens, hospital President and CEO James R. Walker asked the the county to donate $200,000 a year for five years. The hospital would use the money for its $110 million expansion of its emergency department and a new five- or six-story patient care tower.
