The State Attorney's Office has dropped charges against a Severn man for illegally owning three pet deer that were seized and euthanized in September. District Court Judge J. Michael Wachs Wednesday quickly granted a motion by Assistant State's Attorney Michael R. Cogan to dismiss all three counts against Charles Vernon. He was one of three north county residents whose deer were seized this fall in a Department of Natural Resources sweep.
