Residents speak freely on Bill of Rights dayPublished 12/15/04
Americans may sing "Happy Birthday" to the nation on July Fourth, but today is the anniversary of the first 10 American freedoms. Some 213 years later, local residents can identify the freedoms spelled out in the Bill of Rights, but cite concerns about searches and seizures and gun control. Residents picked at random while shopping at Westfield Shoppingtown Annapolis yesterday were in accordance on the First Amendment but disagreed regarding the right to bear arms and the terms of searches and seizures.
