Police charge three teenagers with stealing holiday packages

Three Shady Side teenagers have been charged with stealing boxes of Christmas gifts delivered to homes in their neighborhood just before the holiday.

Bonnie Donnelly of Bay Road told county police she tracked four packages from FedEx and UPS to her home on Dec. 21 and 22, but never got them. Gift cards and merchandise from Longaberger Baskets inside were valued at $2,240.

An alert neighbor, Andrew Hylton, told police he saw a car stopped in the driveway of her house on those days, and later found an empty package in a ditch addressed to a home on nearby...
