Community center getting some upgradesPublished 02/08/05
The busier-than-ever Village Commons Community Center is planning several upgrades, a year after a bill sponsored by two local delegates. The center in Gambrills will soon get portable partitions to subdivide the main room into multiple simultaneous uses, along with new staging, lighting and audio-visual equipment to support a children's theater program and informational presentations on subjects of community interest. The cost of these upgrades would have been prohibitive without the legislation from Dels. David Boschert, R-Crownsville and Mary Ann Love, D-Glen Burnie.
