Queen Anne's County has decided to replace its public information officer job with a new post with expanded responsibilities.
The new assistant to the county administrator will continue to be the link between the commissioners and the public and media, but will also be in charge of programming for county's new television station, QAC-TV, and updating its Web site, www.qac.org.
County Administrator Paul Comfort additionally plans to assign various research and purchasing responsibilities beyond those held by Greg Nizza, who resigned from the position last month.
