AAMC wants mental health facility at Crownsville sitePublished 03/10/05
Hoping to address a severe lack of psychiatric services in the county, Anne Arundel Medical Center is teaming up with a Rockville company to open a new mental health facility in Crownsville. AAMC and Adventist Healthcare plan to petition the state to for permission to operate 40 adult beds at a new inpatient center in a vacant building at the old Crownsville Hospital Center. The as-yet-unnamed facility also would house existing Adventist programs for teens that are located elsewhere on the Crownsville campus.
