Busch: Let new county commission choose school boardPublished 03/20/05
House Speaker Michael E. Busch presented Friday yet another plan to change how the county's school board is selected, calling for a system similar to the way appeals court judges are placed on the bench. "I don't know that it's the perfect solution, but it's an alternative to what you've heard," Mr. Busch, D-Annapolis, told the county delegation at a meeting where a vote on another school board bill was put on hold.
