More than 1,000 horses packed into the cinder-block lined meeting room at the Londontowne Community Center this weekend. Appaloosas, Paints, Clydesdales and countless other breeds were represented. But the horses were much smaller - of course, of course - than Mr. Ed.
Plastic, china and wooden statuettes highlighted the 25th annual Mid-Atlantic Regional Model Horse Show, held to raise money for Therapeutic Riding in Anne Arundel County and the Oak Crest Therapeutic Riding Program in Harwood.
Miniatures were judged like in real live horse shows, with performance classes divided into Western and English-style riding.
